Animula Nook Characters Guide
One of the most charming aspects of Animula Nook is its cast of characters — adorable creatures called Minies who live alongside you in the miniature world.
Who Are the Minies?
Minies (粒粒 in Chinese) are the tiny inhabitants of the miniature world you find yourself living in after shrinking down. They are your neighbors, friends, and the heart of the Animula Nook experience.
Each Minie has:
- A unique personality and backstory
- Favorite gifts that boost your friendship
- Special dialogue that changes as your relationship grows
- Unique rewards they give you as trust deepens
Your Character
You play as a “Heartseeker” — a person who has unexpectedly shrunk down to a tiny size. From your new miniature perspective, an ordinary desk becomes a vast world full of wonder.
The Friendship System
Building relationships with Minies is central to progressing in Animula Nook.
How Friendship Works
- Talk daily — Speak to each Minie every day to earn friendship points
- Give gifts — Each Minie has favorite items; gifting these earns bonus points
- Spend time together — Join them in activities like farming or exploring
- Complete requests — Help Minies with small tasks for big friendship rewards
Friendship Levels
As your friendship with a Minie grows, you unlock:
- New dialogue and backstory
- Unique gifts only they can give you
- Special shared memories
- Access to new areas or activities
Tips for Building Friendships Fast
- Prioritize daily conversations — Even a quick chat counts toward your daily friendship points
- Learn their preferences — Pay attention to what each Minie mentions liking
- Don’t neglect anyone — Some story events require friendships with specific Minies
- Use gift codes — Our Codes page sometimes includes rare gift items perfect for Minies
The Upa Forest and Hidden Characters
Beyond your starting area, the Upa Forest (乌帕大森林) hides additional Minies and characters waiting to be discovered. Exploring deeper into the forest is one of the game’s most rewarding activities.
