Good news: Animula Nook has multiplayer. Co-op has been confirmed by the developers, meaning you and your friends can share the miniature world together. Here’s everything we know about how it works before the game launches globally.
Is There Multiplayer?
Yes — co-op multiplayer is confirmed for Animula Nook. You’ll be able to invite friends into your miniature world and take on activities together.
The exact structure of multiplayer sessions (player count, world-sharing details) hasn’t been fully detailed yet. Official information confirms a three-layer co-op system covering dungeon runs, exploration assistance, and casual social play — more on each below.
Cross-play between platforms has not been confirmed — we’ll update this page as soon as that information is available.
How to Invite Friends
The specific invite flow hasn’t been detailed officially — we’ll update this with exact steps once the game is live. Don’t expect this to work exactly like other life sims; Animula Nook’s co-op structure is its own thing.
What Activities Are Available in Co-op?
Animula Nook officially confirms a three-layer co-op system:
Layer 1 — Dark Star Abyss (暗星深井)
The Dark Star Abyss is the game’s co-op dungeon mode. It features light combat and roguelite elements and is entirely optional — you can enjoy all main content without entering it. This is the most structured multiplayer activity with clear progression stakes.
Layer 2 — Exploration Assistance
Exploration assistance is confirmed as a co-op layer. Exploring together makes encounters more manageable and is one of the primary reasons to bring friends along outside the dungeon. Which specific areas support this is TBA.
Layer 3 — Casual Social Play
The lightest tier covers friend visits, homestead viewing, and Minie interactions. Visiting a friend’s homestead to see what they’ve built and interact with their Minies is a confirmed social activity.
Details on farming/gathering co-op bonuses and Minie event multipliers have not been officially detailed yet — marked TBA.
Tips for Playing Together
Bring friends to the Dark Star Abyss. This dungeon is specifically designed for co-op — the roguelite structure and light combat are much more manageable with a group.
Visit each other’s homesteads. Seeing what friends have built is a core part of the social experience, and your Minies may react differently when a visitor is around.
Explore together. More players means more coverage and more encounters handled per run.
Share gift codes. Our Codes page lists all working codes — share them with your co-op group so everyone gets the free rewards before they expire.
